CNBC can talk about nothing but Warren Buffett’s acquisition of Burlington Northern this morning (more in the comments).

Funny, but they haven’t said a word about him dumping Moody’s stock

  1. So, is this in hopes of getting taxpayer funded improvements for high-speed rail, not to mention the potential of leasing the rail right-of-way for transmission lines linking the future taxpayer funded wind farms?

  2. I find his 50:1 split of B shares interesting too. Whether it is high speed rail, pipelines, broadband cables, etc, he certainly has something up his sleeve.

  3. He’s just trying to make money like the rest of us. And he’s got a lot more to work with.

  5. The 50:1 split makes the B shares more affordable to a wider range of investors. WB is looking for more buyers to support his stock price, relevant now that he is using his stock in deals.
