What a screwy situation. I just don’t see how a case can be made for anything in either direction across all investments. It does make you wonder though about the news flow. If we did a pole last week asking Americans whether they thought C was profitable for the first two months of the year, I would think that 95% or more would have responded “no way.” Not that C is in great shape, but one bit of data can cause an instantaneous short term change of physchology.

That’s what happens when you combine a very oversold market with a lot of eager bottom-pickers.
