As a young boy I grew up near Pomona and opened my first savings account at Pomona First Federal back in the early '70s. I managed to save all my babysitting money in there, and after a year had saved up the princely sum of $106! I was over the moon with joy. Eventually that seed money became the start of a lifelong savings habit, and I am currently a renter and totally debt-free.
