Pay or Else
Pay for health insurance, or pay a fine. That’ll be your choice, if our ‘leaders’ have their way.
First you paid to insure your car. Soon you may have to add health insurance premiums to that stack of monthly bills as well.
In a revamped health care system envisioned by senators, people would be required to carry health insurance just like motorists must get auto coverage now. The government would provide subsidies for the poor and many middle-class families, but those who still refuse to sign up would face fines of more than $1,000.
The details were unveiled Thursday in a health care overhaul bill supported by key Senate Democrats looking to fulfill President Barack Obama’s top domestic priority.
Yikes.

The noose tightens.
And you can bet that the healthcare “provided” will not be the top-of-the-line policy healthcare that senators and other politicians enjoy. Oh no, those spots are reserved–and also paid for by you, the taxpayer.

Was catching up with FSN broadcasts last nite & Peter Schiff had a few things to say about that in the 6/27 broadcast (you might have heard it already).

Good to see you posting as usual considering you said you may cut back.

I wonder if Joe Six-Pack knows about this yet, or cares. The problem is with most people these days, by the time they hear about something or figure out what it really means, it’s already too late. The laws are already on the books. And with a lot of these laws, there ain’t no going back.
I guess there isn’t a chance in hell we’ll ever go back to cash for health care again, is there?
@Rik — I am posting a bit less. Glad it doesn’t show too badly!

And this is why I’m trying to find a low-tax country that isn’t run by insane asylum escapees.
