The Next Wave

…in the never-ending oil and gas story will be the arrival of TS/Hurricane Gustav, currently forecast to plow right through the heart of the Gulf’s energy infrastructure:

  1. As usual, The Oil Drum has some of the best map porn showing the Gulf Infrastructure and the path of Gustav. I’m sure they’ll be updating these images as Gustav continues on.

  4. We haven’t had much in Austin either. The last storm didn’t send even a drop up this way. Not that I want a direct hurricane hit, you understand. But a nice rain would be okay.

    Austin is far enough in-land that I doubt you guys would get much more than a wind storm out of it. I just wish that thing would turn and make a direct line for Houston. I need my lake to fill up. Right now I have to really stretch my legs to take off from my dock on the wake board.

  6. Wouldn’t want to have you stretch your legs too much. Don’t strain yourself.

    When there’s a hurricane there, we can get some pretty big stormy weather here–just not with the last couple.
